"The Broadcast Hex" Hijacking Incident (11/24/87)

On November 24th 1987, the town of Casper, Wyoming experienced a TV hijacking for a brief period of time. At 7:56 AM, the Nickelodeon TV station was hijacked by an unknown source. What was shown was simply stock footage of someone recording the woods, with someone playing piano in the background. Throughout the hijacking, though, you can also hear a young boy supposedly being mauled by an unidentified being, whether a man or a rabid animal. A message was also shown in front of the stock footage, claiming that anyone viewing the hijacking was cursed with the "Broadcast Hex".

Rumors have it that anyone witnessing the station hijacking have experienced great amounts of illnesses for many years to come, such as headaches, dizziness, suicidal tendencies and night terrors. One viewer supposedly committed suicide.

Both Nickelodeon and the authorities of Casper, Wyoming deny any hijacking incident taking place within the area.
