eternal helplessness

This track is the most fascinating one out of my old stash of sounds. It all began with me trying to make a clone of PSI shield from earthbound using a 0.2 sec sample. I was unable to properly place the echos and speed shifts so I left it in a similar version. Then one day, while in early stages of depression recovery, I decided to remix the file. I tried to make the small loop shift to different keys, but did not know they were not properly put on a chromatic scale (clicking the slider made them jump I just assumed). I then reversed it and put a mathematically calculated echo filter. In the end I got this. This strange tune has a special power of drawing you into the sound and causing you to listen it repeatedly. The first time I heard it, I was in some kind of trance of confusion replayed it for hours. To this day, I have still yet to understand this infinitely-drawing sound file.
