BBC 2 Balloon Ident From 1993-1997
Another of the more simple idents, Balloon featured a silver, helium-filled balloon in the shape of a '2' bobbing around gently in a fixed spot. This was withdrawn in 1997 to avoid a clash with the BBC One 'Balloon' idents. The music for this sequence notably opens with a light, breezy flute that smoothly rises in pitch.
