Bunny Must Die: Chelsea and the 7 Devils is an anime-themed, exploration-based platformer. The game is set in a world where cat weapons have taken over. One day, when the thermomewclear power paint explodes, the protagonist Bunny turns half-rabbit, half-cat. A portly divine messenger brings her to the Devils' Labyrinth. If she can traverse it, she will find a way to break the curse.

The gameplay is similar to the Metroidvania genre, where a 2D world can be explored in a non-linear way, defeating opponents and collecting upgrades along the way. Bunny finds different types of weapons such as a sylph shooter sword, a giant katana or a chain ball to fight enemies that leave behind diamonds. She is also able to jump and dash. Special abilities are provided through time items. These allow her for instance to slow, stop or reverse time. The items are also used to pass traps. The game can be saved at checkpoints that recharge her time meter as well.
