Musical entertainment in wartime.
Music helped combat boredom in the trenches, in the rear, or even in prisoner of war camps. Near the front lines, specially commissioned entertainment groups moved between the military lines, but spontaneous musical activities also took place, such as sing-alongs and impromptu concerts in the open air, in tents or dugouts. Considering the difficult conditions, the soldiers' ability to organize such creative events is admirable.
