This is the Generic Compaq Splash Screen only for viewers with Compaq Presario 1000 Series Notebooks 3000, 4100, 4400, 4700, 6700, 8700 Series Desktop Computers exepct for Compaq Presario 2000 Series and 4504 Desktop Computer.

It was replaced with Compaq Presario 1600 Series Notebook and Compaq Presario 2200, 4500, 4600, and 4800 Series Desktop Computer in 1997, and Compaq Presario 5000 Series Desktop Computer in 1998.

the 1996/97 Series Lineup got Discontinued in 2005.

You'll see the B&W turns into Color with the Blue Background includes Windows 95 Logo with a Cloud Background, A Red Telephone with a Zap Sign, A CD-ROM and a Floppy Drive, A Compaq Home Base Button, Paint with 3 Shapes (Purple Square, Yellow Circle and a Red Triangle), and a Desktop Computer with Red Speakers along with a Red Compaq Logo which is not faded B&W to Red Color.
