1980 detective film, jointly produced by the Mosfilm, Mediterranee Cinema, and Pro Dis Film studios. The roles included Soviet actors Igor Kostolevsky, Natalya Belokhvostikova, Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, and world cinema stars (Alain Delon, Curd Jurgens, Claude Jade).
The action of the film develops along two plot lines: in 1943 and in the 1970s. The film follows the love story of Soviet intelligence officer Andrey Borodin and a French woman of Russian origin, Marie Luni, a translator from Persian (Iran).
In November 1943, on the instructions of Hitler's leadership, a group of German terrorists led by agent Scherner ('The Executioner') infiltrates Tehran on the eve of negotiations between the heads of government of the three allied powers to assassinate Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill.
