Setting the scene! Both Wimpod and Golisopod look like something that just crawled out of a bad science fiction movie. They are based around the giant isopod which is without a doubt one of the strangest creatures found in the deep sea.

Pokemon has always been iffy with sizes but just how big is this giant isopod. Well it appears the enormous size of the giant isopod is a result of a phenomenon known as deep sea gigantism. Deep sea crustaceans and other animals grow to a much larger size than normal
