Be-200 "Altair".

The Be-200 "Altair" is a Russian amphibious aircraft (flying boat), developed by the TANTK named after G. M. Beriev and produced at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. In 2008, the production of the Be-200 was transferred to the TANTK named after G. M. Beriev.

The Be-200 is one of the most unusual multi-purpose aircraft, developed on the basis of and using the ideas embodied in its predecessor, the A-40 amphibian. Water intake for extinguishing fires can be carried out both at the airfield and on the surface of the water in the gliding mode. O

The aircraft is intended for:

1. Transportation of people or goods;
2. Search in a given area for ships in distress and accurately determine the coordinates of the incident;
3. Classification of detected targets using airborne means;
4. Extinguishing forest and other fires by sequential discharge of water or extinguishing agent up to 12 tons in one pass.
