Colchis or Egrisi is a historical region in the Eastern Black Sea region, the modern localization of the Colchian Kingdom — Adjara, Abkhazia, the western edges of Georgia Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Lower Svaneti, Imereti, Guria; the silts of Turkey Ardahan, Artvin and Rize, as well as regions of Russia: Sochi and Tuapse district.
