A note about videos: when you download one, it may look like it's in low quality, but that's because it's playing at its lowest quality. To see a video in its highest quality, you need to switch video tracks. That can be done in VLC by clicking on the "Video" menu on the top of the window, and hovering over "Video Track".

The site's closure was hard for all of us, and I think this is my person sign that it's never a good idea to start a video sharing site, especially when you're not flush with money, and definitely not when you're a team of first-timers. The reason VidLii's been around so long is because it's a niche site, and has strong limits on video quality. As for Vlare, we'll see, but its video quality is even lower than Vanillo's, so it might survive for a while. Hopefully Vlare can learn from Vanillo's many mistakes.

@Angrybirdsfan2005 They knew how to run the website, the problem is that BlakeB wanted to shut down Vanillo and that the staff wanted to stop it, but they could not do it, sad, but what he did was stupid.
