You should look into SDL

@termer Oh, yes, that might be true in terms of memory, but I'm not so sure about how much code will be needed, in comparison :-) Like, currently I'm just rendering a square, because there doesn't seem to be a primitive to draw/fill a circle?

@skreutzer I'm not sure. I'm sure it'll be more code overall, but I never used SDL personally so I can't say. There are a bunch of libraries built on top of SDL to reduce boilerplate, though
