First Techno (Kraftwerk 1970)

R.I.P Florian Schneider-Esleben. He was a pioneer of techno and he left us a wonderful legacy. Many bands wouldn't exist without him.

This is Kraftwerk's first recorded live performance from 1970. Little did the audience know that history was being made that day. You have Ralf looking like a badass time traveler and Florian making quack-like sounds from his flute. This was the original line up with the guys from Neu! and before Wolfgang and Karl joined. Decided to re-upload this onto here as a tribute to Flo.

Cancer took away our favorite German DILF and uncle. He must be up there with Klaus from Neu! Florian had a great life, dying at 73. Just like Bowie, who was almost 70 when he died. Not only do Florian and I have the same birthday, but I'm also proud to coexist with him for 17 years. I can imagine him doing collabs with Bowie and the motherfucking Keith Emerson!
