I attempted doing it, and it just opens CMD for a split second and then closes and nothing happens.

When i tried to run the effect with vdub, i got "AVI Import Filter error: (Unknown)(8004 bla bla bla)

I used the ANT Landscape generator thing in Blender and rendered it with the openGL to give it a more early 80's look. I made the animation about 2 and a half years ago but re-rendered it a few months ago.

Wouldn't it be easier to use Vegas/After Effects? At least with that you don't need to convert and download additional stuff

it would be easier to use that for the effect, but I think this looks more realistic, and a lot of people do not have after effects or vegas. I've seen some of the after effects VHS effects and honestly they aren't very good. Though this method is not the best, its still pretty good for being free.
