Shin Onigashima (Famicom Disk System) - Gate Watcher Demon (Mega Drive Cover) (1-27-2023)

My first FM chiptune cover!
I didn't plan on making this. I originally meant to experiment in tildearrow's Furnace tracker with some FM instruments I ripped from the arcade version of Commando, but I ended up covering this song from the graphic adventure game Shin Onigashima, another niche game with a fantastic soundtrack. I originally intended to only use FM channels via the Yamaha YM2612, but I decided to throw in some SN76489 accompaniment for good measure since I was using the Mega Drive's chips. I must say that I'm quite pleased with my results, especially with the tweaking I had to do to the instruments and the volume to make sure everything sounded just right. I hope you guys enjoy this. ^w^
