I think I can't watch this movie because of total technical stupidities. "Don't disconnect or you die" - great demand: if I disconnect, you can't find me any more or already know where I am for other reasons than my connection. I also don't like to see a Ross Ulbricht kind of guy in the video call (also reminding me a little of earlier Barrett Brown, but that's probably not a deliberate reference).
4:50 In the dark web, you're probably less watched and tracked than on the normal web, that was the whole point of designing it. At least you're watched by other people, or in different ways and for different reasons.

Mutahar has shown that not everything about the Dark Web is bad in his series. Heck most the deep web vids is just YouTube videos reuploaded there for some reason.

@joshthejosher Yeah. Turned out to be 2 thieves of the famed suits though why they stole those suits and made that vid no one can answer. Another one Mutahar recognized as Nanas vid and some of the vids were parts of ARGs on YouTube. They'd only upload one part of a series on the deep web while meanwhile the entire story of the ARG would be clear web.

I hate so-called "dark web" horror with a passion. Yes, there is crime on the web, but movies like this and pop culture references to the "dark web" makes everyone believe that there's this scary underworld. That's just not the case. Yes, there is some really bad stuff on the Tor network (what most people are talking about when they say "the dark web"), but that isn't all of it, and using anonymity software is not illegal or bad.

@joshthejosher Who knows if anonymity is legal or not, it's pretty much unavoidable. How are you going to know who's at the other end of that cable connection on the wall, how are you going to know who's in front of the computer and using accounts and sharing/using the passwords? Sure, governments and businesses and whoever need or like to assume ways of identification, but yeah, it's void in case of doubt.

@skreutzer I know there's no data on the Tor network, but onion sites are "on" the tor network just like websites are "on" the web.

@spodermen2 I personally thought "Unfriended" was an excitable kind of horror movie. It really brought me into the action of what's gonna happen.
First time was excitable, but the times after that were predictable and not so fun anymore.

@joshthejosher i found it to just be predictable at how they died on the first seeing, but thats just my opinion
