the game that started it all! A legendary classic,while the first game was extreamly weak and slow,but the franchise got better over time by it's later sequels,my personal favs being Dragon Quest 4: Chapters of the Chosen and Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an exclusive age:P

The interface if pretty much like a microcomputer JRPG (because DQ1 was on the MSX first)

@AlmightyGaming Sadly the last game to be developped by the original DQ devs was DQV...

Yeah DQ has switched developers a few times. Level-5 has done a good job with the franchise though.
