Originally uploaded on YouTube, I talk about the rise of censorship. This unfortunately includes shadowbanning videos for foul language while family friendly content gets promoted effortlessly.

YouTube is killing their community even more with their disabling comments over bad words. Like how sensitive are these people?! For what purpose exactly are they doing this? Like you said, even if we don't like what we read or hear, it falls under our free speech right, and these people are destroying that.
This is an even more good reason to consider joining other sites that will not demonetize or even censor us just because we said something "bad", like Vanillo or this site.

I don't mind family friendly content like permaculture gardening, lessons on economizing, or even storytelling. But when you censor people that say some swear words because children often imitate those people, that speaks more about the parents not monitoring their activities than anything. That's not a legit reason to shadowban a video or a comment.

I really don't understand why they're doing this. I thought YouTube was 13+, and for people <13 YouTube kids existed. (or at least that was their intentions. I'm sure most people who know that exists also know that creepy shit and not kid friendly content slips in YouTube kids.) So if they made YouTube kids, why are they trying to make the normal YouTube family friendly??

nice video

an ironic thing about youtube today is their claim that they want "family-friendly" content but they allow elsagate/cringe kids videos channels (that were proven to be owned by pedos, even the weird comments on their videos are encrypted messages talking about to join chat groups with child porn) but they ban or censor people with an specific political ideology and people who make dark humor videos

i hope vlare will be well-adverstized by good youtubers to make it a strong competitor to youtube

@TregTreg63 Holy shit. I knew that cringe kids videos existed, but I didn't realize that they did THAT stuff. Also, wdym "encrypted messages"?? I wouldn't think kids are smart enough to decrypt messages, unless you mean cryptic.

Copyright is a nuisance

@diamondstar nuisance maybe, but a necessary evil, its not like youtube can just stop protecting against copyright, considering their size they're kind of obligated to...

@edray1416 Yeah. Today's parents are trying to be their kids'friend and not their parent. They conform to the kids' rules when the kids should do the conforming.
That's one of the reasons America has become a shithole and also why families get disconnected.
